Biggar is an ideally located town in the South of Scotland enjoying a rural location whilst still being within easy commuting distance for all that the Scottish Borders, Clyde Valley, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling have to offer. It is conveniently placed just 12miles from Junction 13 of the M74 motorway.
A thriving former market town (the livestock market closed in 1996), Biggar is a vibrant community with a wide range of independent shops along with several pubs, cafes and restaurants offering fantastic fare and hospitality.
There is always lots going on in and around Biggar, it hosts the Biggar Little Festval of the five arts each October and the Biggar Bonfire each Hogmanay, not to forget the annual Riding of the Marches & Gala week in June, the Biggar Agricultural Show in July and the Vintage Car Rally in August!
